1. Who we are

2. What data we collect
- Account data: Your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).
- Profile data: Your relationship type, partner connection status, and any profile information you choose to provide.
- Relationship data: Love notes, shared memories, journal entries, appreciation logs, prompts, and other content you create within the app. This data is private to you and your connected partner.
- Cycle data: If you use the cycle tracking feature, we store the data you log. This is sensitive health information — it is encrypted at rest, visible only to you and any partner you explicitly grant access to, and never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
- Visa hub data: Documents, evidence entries, milestones, and checklist progress you create in the partner visa hub. This data is private to you and your connected partner.
- Usage data: App usage patterns, feature interactions, and error logs — used to improve the app. Anonymised where possible.
- Subscription data: Your subscription status and transaction history, managed by RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card details.
- Waitlist data: If you joined our waitlist, we store your name, email, and relationship type — used only to notify you at launch and send emails you opted into.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Bonded app and its features
- To connect you with your partner within the app
- To process and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (account verification, subscription receipts)
- To send marketing emails you opted into — unsubscribe at any time
- To diagnose bugs and improve performance
We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not sell your data. We do not serve advertising.
4. Third-party services
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure. Hosted in AWS ap-southeast-2 (Sydney). Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — Subscription management via Apple in-app purchase. Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — AI relationship coaching. Prompts are anonymised before being sent — no personally identifying information is transmitted to AI providers.
- Google Analytics — Anonymised website traffic analytics on bondedcouplesapp.com. Privacy Policy.
- Formspree — Waitlist form processing. Privacy Policy.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in Sydney, Australia. We use row-level security so users can only access their own data. Cycle data is encrypted at rest. All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS.
6. Data sharing
Your data is shared only with your connected partner (for features designed for sharing), with the service providers listed above to operate the app, or if required by law. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account — via Settings in the app or by emailing us
- Export your data — via the Data Export feature in Settings
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any email

8. Children's privacy
Bonded is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact us if you believe a minor has provided us with data and we will delete it promptly.
9. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
