Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Bonded app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Bonded.

1. About Bonded

Bonded is a couples app providing connection tools, long-distance features, Australian partner visa support, cycle awareness, and AI relationship coaching. It is operated by Patrick Connally, Queensland, Australia.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bonded. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@bondedcouplesapp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may only create one account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

4. Partner connections

Bonded allows you to connect with one partner. By connecting with a partner, you acknowledge that certain content — including shared memories, love notes, cycle phase information (where consented), and visa hub data — will be visible to your connected partner. You are responsible for ensuring your partner has consented to any data sharing within the app.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Bonded offers a free tier and paid subscription plans billed weekly, monthly, or annually. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system and are subject to Apple's terms.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
• Founding member annual subscriptions are locked at the founding price for as long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
• We do not offer refunds directly — please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Bonded for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person through the app
• Share another person's private information without their consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or modify the app
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the app
• Use the app if you are under 18
• Create more than one account per person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Your content

You own the content you create in Bonded — notes, memories, journal entries, and other personal data. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you.

We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it outside the service except as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. AI coaching disclaimer

Bonded's AI Relationship Coach provides general relationship guidance based on established relationship research. It is not a substitute for professional therapy, counselling, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service in your region.

9. Partner visa information disclaimer

The partner visa hub in Bonded provides tools to help couples organise their relationship evidence and track their visa journey. It does not constitute legal or migration advice. For advice specific to your situation, consult a registered migration agent (MARN). Bonded is not responsible for the outcome of any visa application.

10. Intellectual property

The Bonded name, logo, app design, and all associated content are owned by Patrick Connally / Bonded. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers

Bonded is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. We are not responsible for any relationship outcomes arising from use of the app.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonded's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
